Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

BeyondAbilityX (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates a registration and community platform for para-athletes. This policy explains what information we collect when you register or use our app, why we collect it, how it’s stored, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

When you register as an athlete or caregiver, we collect:

  • Identity details: full name, date of birth, gender, and (for caregiver registrations) the caregiver’s name and relationship to the athlete.
  • Contact details: mobile number and, optionally, email address.
  • Government ID: Aadhaar number and Unique Disability ID (UDID), used solely to verify identity and disability status for eligibility.
  • Disability information: disability type(s), severity, and onset — collected because our program is specifically designed around disability-inclusive sport, and this information determines eligibility and category placement.
  • Documents: a copy of your disability certificate/UDID card and a passport-style photo, and optionally photos or videos of you playing your sport.
  • Sport and education details: sport of interest, competitive level, education level, and household information (family size, primary earner, approximate income range) — used to understand program reach and, where relevant, financial assistance eligibility.
  • Emergency contact: a name, relationship, and phone number for someone we can reach in an emergency.
  • Account sign-in information: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. If you sign in with a one-time email or SMS code, we receive whichever contact detail you use to sign in.

2. Why we collect it

We use this information to register you in our athlete database, verify eligibility for disability-specific sport categories and any financial assistance programs, contact you about your registration status and upcoming leagues/academies/events, and — in aggregate, de-identified form — to understand and report on the reach of our program to partners and funders.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use your disability information for any purpose other than the program itself.

3. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in a managed database (Supabase, hosted on servers used for our production environment) and our application is hosted on Vercel. Both providers are used under their own security and data-processing terms. We do not store your data on any personal device or spreadsheet outside of these systems.

4. Who can see your data

Your full registration record is visible only to authorized BeyondAbilityX administrators, who access it through a password/Google-protected admin dashboard for the purpose of reviewing registrations, verifying documents, and reporting aggregate (not individually identifying) statistics to partners. We do not share your individual record with any third party without your consent, except where required by law.

5. Your choices and rights

  • You can ask us what information we hold about you, and request corrections, by contacting us (below).
  • You can ask us to delete your registration, subject to any records we’re required to keep for legal, safety, or program-integrity reasons.
  • Providing your phone number and email is how we verify your identity and reach you — you can choose to verify these later rather than at the moment of registration, but they’re required to complete registration.

6. Data retention

We retain athlete records for as long as the program is active and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping and reporting purposes, unless you request earlier deletion (see above).

7. Children and caregiver registrations

Where a caregiver registers on behalf of a minor or an athlete unable to register themselves, the caregiver confirms they have the authority and consent to provide that person’s information to us.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our program evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.

9. Contact us
